Common and Not-so-Common Butterflies of Peninsula Malaysia - 2017

Here are some butterflies which you can find in Peninsula Malaysia:

Rajah Brooke's Birdwing

My favorite butterfly !

Plain Nawab

Apparently Plain Nawab is a favorite among collectors. No wonder i hardly see them in the forest.

Red Helen

I think the above is a Red Helen instead of a Great Helen as i can't see any blue spots above its red tornal spots / ocellus as described by Kirton (2014).

Popinjay (Stibochiona nicea)

Reported to be rare in this region (Kirton (2014). Wish i have taken more photos of it.

Tree-Nymph

I think this should be a  Ashy-white Tree-Nymph instead of a Malayan Tree-Nymph - NO?

Could this be a "Mottled Emigrant"?

Identified from the black cell spot in between the interspaces of its forewing.

Malayan Viscount (Tanaecia pelea)

Great Orange Tip (Hebomoia glaucippe)

HAPPY BUTTERFLYING !
